NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED LEGISLATION TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE GUAM LEGISLATURE AND DRAFT ADMINISTRATIVE RULES GOVERNING THE PRACTICE OF ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS INCLUDING AMENDED FEE SCHEDULE The Guam Board of Allied Health Examiners (GBAHE) will conduct public hearings to consider proposed legislation to forward to I Liheslaturan Guåhan (Guam Legislature) proposing the repeal and reenactment of, and amendments to the Guam Allied Health Practice Act; and to consider Draft Administrative Rules Governing the Practice of Allied Health Professions, including amendments to the fee schedule: Friday, October 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Health Professional Licensing Office (HPLO), 2nd Floor Conference Room 209, Terlaje Building, Hagåtña, Guam. The public is invited to attend. The Guam Medicaid Program, administered under the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), Division of Public Welfare is providing public notice of its intent to: (1) submit to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), on or before August 1, 2022, a written 1115 Demonstration application to waive the mandate for the Guam Medicaid Program to participate in the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP); and (2) hold public hearings to receive comments on the 1115 Waiver Demonstration application. Guam Medicaid is applying under section 1115(a)(1) of the Act to waive section 1902(a)(54), which requires state compliance of section 1927 that mandates participation in the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP), and the program is requesting that the waiver be effective January 1, 2023.
