Public Hearing to Rename Talofofo Elementary School Scheduled for

Wednesday, November 30, 2022

Pursuant to GCA 17 (Education), §1105.1 and Board Policy 625 on naming schools, the Guam Education Board (GEB) would like to inform the public that there will be a public hearing on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, relative to the renaming of Talo’fo’fo Elementary School. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will take place in the Talo’fo’fo Elementary School cafeteria.

The public hearing will address the proposal to rename Talo’fo’fo Elementary School after Joaquina Mendiola Cruz Roberto and Rosa Garrido Roberto Carter (co-names).

The GEB would like to remind our island community that written testimony or public comments can be submitted either prior to the public hearing or ten (10) days after the public hearing. Testimony or public comments may also be submitted via email to talofofoelem@gdoe.net. Written testimony may also be submitted to Talo’fo’fo ElementarySchool or mailed to the following address:
