Applications available for Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program- Childcare Component

ANNOUNCEMENT

Mangilao, March 11, 2025 – DYA is calling all 15–17-year-olds interested in working in childcare organizations such as daycare centers and summer camps. Job duties for positions in this program include greeting children and parents, assist with playtime, filing documents, light cleaning duties and more. If you are interested in applying for the Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program’s (GSYEP) Childcare component, applications will be available beginning 8:00 a.m., March 12, 2025, at the following locations: 
 
Lågu Youth Resource Center
Address: 143 Catalina Ln., Dededo (Across Maria Ulloa Elementary School)

Kåttan Youth Resource Center
Address: 228 Teresita Ln., Mangilao (Behind DYA’s main compound)

Håya Youth Resource Center
Address: 321 Calle De Los Marteres, Hågat (Across Hågat Church)

Unlike previous GSYEP, applications will not be available online. The following documents will be provided by DYA:
 
o 2025 GSYEP-Childcare application
o Health Certificate Clearance application
o Bureau of Child Care Services (BCCS) consent for Disclosure of Client Information Form
o Police Clearance Authorization Form
o Court Clearance Authorization Form
o Health Certificate Authorization Form
 
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., March 28, 2025, and will only be accepted at the resource center that the application was picked up at. In addition to completing the forms provided by DYA, the application must also include the following documents upon submission: 
 
o Copy of applicant’s photo ID
o Copy of parent/legal guardian’s photo ID
o Copy of the applicant’s Social Security Card
 
The Childcare component of the 2025 GSYEP is scheduled to begin on June 9 and conclude on July 18. A description of Job Duties and Frequently asked Questions is available on DYA’s website: dya.guam.gov.
