Applications for Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program are available on May 7, 2025

ANNOUNCEMENT

Mangilao, April 29, 2025 – DYA is calling all 15–17-year-olds interested in working in the Government of Guam to apply for an entry-level position such as Auxiliary Worker, Office Aide, Maintenance and many more. Duties would include answering phones, customer service, filing, cleaning and maintaining buildings and facilities. If you are interested in applying for the 2025 Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (GSYEP), applications will be available on May 7th through May 9th, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the following locations:
 
Lågu Youth Resource Center

GSYEP applications will not be available online. The applications have a Control Number that will be recorded in DYA’s log sheet. Upon receiving an application, the name of the applicant must be provided and this information will be recorded. Submission of the application must match the name of the applicant in DYA’s log sheet.
 
Applications can be submitted starting May 12th through May 16th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will only be accepted at the Center that the application was picked up at. The following must also be included with the submission:
 
  • Copy of applicant’s photo ID
  • Copy of parent/legal guardian’s photo ID
  • Copy of the applicant’s Social Security Card
 
The 2025 GSYEP is scheduled to begin on June 9 and conclude on July 18. GSYEP participants can expect to work 30 hours per week, for six (6) weeks, and earn $10 per hour.

The Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program helps our young people gain real-world work experience while serving their island community,” said Acting Governor Josh Tenorio. “Our administration remains committed to preparing the next generation of leaders and workers, and through GSYEP, young people are gaining more than just a paycheck — they are gaining confidence, skills, and an understanding of how public service impacts our daily lives."
