Re: First Notice of Informational Hearing – October 21, 2025, 2:00 PM

Buenas yan Håfa Adai! Please be advised that the Committee on Child Welfare, Youth Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women’s Affairs, Disability Services, the Arts, Culture, Historic Preservation, and Hagåtña Restoration (“Committee”) will convene an Informational Hearing on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in the Public Hearing Room, Guam Congress Building, with the following agenda:

  1. Call to Order and Opening Remarks - Purpose of Hearing: Cultural stewardship, institutional transitions, and fiscal accountability
  2. Ethical Return of Cultural Artifacts from Bishop Museum
  3. Transition of Guam Cultural Repository from UOG to DCA
  4. Janitorial Services Contracting at the Guam Museum
  5. HVAC System Maintenance for the Guam Museum
  6. Discussion 
  7. Public Testimony 
  8. Closing Remarks

How to Participate: Individuals wishing to attend in person or provide oral or written testimony may contact the Office of Senator Shelly V. Calvo no later than October 20, 2025, for further guidance. Written testimonies should be addressed to Senator Shelly V. Calvo, Chairperson of the Committee, and submitted via hand delivery or electronic mail at least one (1) day prior to the Hearing.
