The Close Up Foundation will be hosting the Annual Guam Youth Summit at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa beginning Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The goal of the summit is to help students understand the role of the legislative branch in addressing community concerns and to inspire young citizens to engage in and shape public policy.

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) had been experiencing a higher-than-usual number of pediatric patients admitted to the hospital. The number has been steadily decreasing. The high volume is attributed to the current cold and flu season.
Dr. Christian Eusebio and Dr. Alexandra Leon Guerrero are performing minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures at Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA). Laparoscopic surgery uses small incisions in the abdomen where surgeons can insert a laparoscope, a small tube with a camera and light source, to guide them. The benefits laparoscopic surgery provides to patients include shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, less pain and bleeding following surgery, and reduced scarring.
The Mayors' Council of Guam will hold a Special Monthly Meeting on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., in the Mayors’ Council Conference Room, Bldg. F, 2nd floor in the J&G Commercial Center, Hagåtña.
