The U.S. Department of the Interior has awarded Guam $2,196,251 in Fiscal Year 2021 grant funding through the Office of Insular Affairs’ Energizing Insular Communities (EIC) program. Governor Lou Leon Guerrero received notice of the award on September 28 and will be utilizing the funding for high-priority energy projects relative to the following:

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has received and approved the Department of Corrections’ (DOC) Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan, a monumental step towards the structural transformation of Guam’s sole public prison system. The master plan was federally funded and supported by the Office of Insular Affairs of the Department of the Interior.
