SPECIAL NOTE: Based on today's data, if we were to compare two (2) hypothetical populations of 100,000 people each, vaccinated versus unvaccinated, there would be 18 vaccinated people hospitalized for COVID-19 compared to 103 unvaccinated people hospitalized for COVID-19. The risk of being hospitalized for COVID-19 is about 6 times higher for the unvaccinated as compared to the vaccinated. *Estimated population is based on DPHSS Immunization Program analysis of 2020 Census data. Updates are expected pending further Census 2020 data breakdown.
 
Preliminary COVID-19 Test Results: 106 New Cases of COVID-19 
Today, the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) reported a preliminary case count of 106 new cases of COVID-19 from 337 specimens analyzed on February 25, 2022. Additional results are pending analysis and submission from other clinics and will be reported on Monday, February 28, 2022.  To date, there have been a total of 44,344 officially reported cases, 322 deaths, 3,879 cases in active isolation, and 40,143 not in active isolation.
 
UOG Vaccination Clinic Extended Until March 2, Moves to GCC Starting March 4
The COVID-19 vaccination clinic held at the University of Guam (UOG) Field House will  remain operational through March 2. The COVID-19 vaccination clinic will then transition to the Guam Community College (GCC) Multipurpose Auditorium in Mangilao on March 4. While walk-ins are accepted, residents are urged to make appointments attinyurl.com/vaxguam. Dates and times are listed below:

Food Commodities Distribution Continues
GDOE, State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. Distribution is limited to three households per vehicle at the sites. Face masks must be worn; bring a photo ID.

For those who signed up for the GDOE/TEFAP food commodities, drive-thru distribution is from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in front of the Sinajana Mayor’s Resource Room under the canopy. Food commodities will be delivered to verified individuals with disabilities who signed up for the program. Contact the Sinajana Mayor’s Office at 671-472-6707/3323 for more information or if you are no longer interested in receiving the food commodities.

Mangilao mAb Treatment Center Reopens
The monoclonal antibody therapy (mAb) Treatment Center located at the Mangilao Senior Citizens Center in Mangilao is open for COVID-19 therapeutic services from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m Monday through Saturday. Patients must receive a referral from a physician in order to qualify for treatment at the Mangilao mAb Treatment Center. To schedule an appointment, call (671) 988-4627. Individuals are encouraged to schedule within 10 days of when symptoms started for best results. 
 
Guam COVID-19 Vaccination Update
As of February 25, 2022, a total of 134,794 of Guam’s eligible population (residents 5 years and older) is fully vaccinated. This total includes 13,204 residents 12 – 17 years old. 7,427 residents 5 – 11 years old received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech two dose series. 5,377 residents 5 – 11 years old have completed their two-dose series. A total of 54,884booster shots have been administered to eligible residents since September 29, 2021.
