Results: Eight New Cases of COVID-19
Eight (8) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 291 tests performed on July 8. Seven (7) cases were identified through contact tracing. To date, there have been a total of 8,431 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 141 deaths, 100 cases in active isolation, and 8,190 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.8.
Operation Liberate Guam update: To date, a total of 92,212 or 76.82% of adults have received either both doses in the two-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna), or the single dose series (Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) of the COVID-19 vaccine.
GDOE Student Tests Positive for COVID-19
Today, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed that a student at D.L. Perez Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. GDOE, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), has identified and notified all close contacts, all of whom will remain in quarantine until cleared by DPHSS. Areas of the school campus have been cleaned and disinfected. Regular hours of operation will resume on Monday, July 12.
Homebound Requests for COVID-19 Vaccinations
DPHSS, the University of Guam Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UOG CEDDERS), Guam Legal Services Corporation – Disability Law Center, and Guam Developmental Disabilities Council have partnered to service all homebound requests. Senior citizens and individuals with disabilities who would like to make a request for homebound COVID-19 vaccinations, schedule an appointment at vaccination clinics or arrange for transportation to and from a vaccination site if needed, should call 311, option 2, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue at the locations and times below. Bring a photo ID. Those due for their second dose are reminded to bring their COVID-19 immunization card. To view the complete schedule of COVID-19 vaccination clinics, visit dphss.guam.gov/vaccinategu.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. Minor’s birth certificate is acceptable. Parent/legal guardian must have a government-issued ID. Guardians must also present legal guardianship or power-of-attorney document.

Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Results available onsite. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Call the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment for COVID-19 testing for travel. Priority is given to patients under investigation and those traveling for medical purposes. Only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested.
