Hagåtña, Guam – On July 17, 2023, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed and the Department of Administration mailed checks or paid by direct deposit, 491 Individual Tax refund payments totaling $1,445,121.14 for Tax Year 2022 and prior error-free returns for returns filed on, or before, June 4, 2023.

Refunds paid to date total 49,142, of which 44,523 (91%) were for Tax Year 2022 error-free returns. Refunds paid to date total $139,922,689.06.

Typhoon Mawar and the surge leading to the April 18, 2023 filing deadline pushed the refund payments turnaround time back six weeks. This gap will close as catchup efforts continue.

NOTE: Individuals receiving payment by direct deposits will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving their refunds (-note).
