Results: Twelve New Cases of COVID-19
Twelve (12) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 821 tests performed by the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) on Sunday, May 16, and from tests run by other labs between Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16. Three (3) cases reported recent travel history and were identified in quarantine. Six (6) cases were identified through contact tracing.
To date, there have been a total of 8,103 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 89 cases in active isolation, and 7,875 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.7.
UPDATED: COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule
COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue at the locations and times below. Bring a photo ID. Those due for their second dose are reminded to bring their COVID-19 immunization card. To view the complete schedule of COVID-19 vaccination clinics, visit dphss.guam.gov/vaccinategu.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. Minor’s birth certificate is acceptable. Parent/legal guardian must have a government-issued ID. Guardians must also present legal guardianship or power-of-attorney document.
Additional Resource Provided for COVID-19 Vaccination Verification
In line with DPHSS Guidance Memo 2020-11 REV 11, the University of Guam (UOG) Call Center has been activated to assist DPHSS with requests for vaccine verification. Starting Tuesday, May 18, individuals who received the COVID-19 vaccine on Guam may request their secondary form of vaccination verification by calling the following numbers:
Requests can be made via phone Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Requests may also be made via email at vaxtravel@dphss.guam.gov. Vaccination verification pick-up times are currently scheduled for Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at UOG.
Individuals who were vaccinated on Guam will not be mandated to present vaccination verification upon arrival to the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority. This service, however, will be made available to the community in the event the traveler needs it for entry into other jurisdictions. Availing of the vaccination verification documentation may also streamline the arrival process for passengers seeking entry into Guam.
Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. Testing times, dates, and locations are below:
Food Commodities Distribution Continues
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farmers to Families Food Box program distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. A limit of three households per vehicle will be serviced at the distributions. Face masks must be worn. Bring a photo ID. Village Mayors distribution schedule is as follows:
