Yesterday, the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) bid farewell to NDMS medical personnel deployed to assist the hospital’s Emergency Room in the aftermath of Typhoon Mawar. The medical team came from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Strategic Preparedness & Readiness (ASPR) National Disaster Medical System (NDMS). Two NDMS teams were sent to assist GMHA in the ER which was inundated with patients following the storm.
