Outgoing Doctor Donates Gift to Assist Mobility Challenged Patients

PRESS RELEASE

(Friday, June 7, 2024; Tamuning, Guam) It is with heartfelt gratitude that the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) bids farewell to Dr. Dustin Prins as he and his family depart for the US mainland. During his time with GMHA, Dr. Prins has left an indelible mark on our hospital and the lives of our patients.
One of Dr. Prins' most generous acts was his recent donation of a golf cart to the GMHA Volunteers Association. This thoughtful gift will enable GMHA to transport patients and visitors with mobility issues from the parking lot to the main entrance, ensuring their comfort and ease of access to the facility. His gesture truly embodies Dr. Prins' unwavering commitment to patient-centered care and his genuine concern for the well-being of our community.

Dr. Prins established GMHA's Outpatient Foot & Ankle Specialty Clinics last year, which has been very successful. His dedication to his patients is evident in their fondness for this kindhearted physician. Dr. Prins’ philosophy for treating patients is to treat them the way he would want to be treated. His personal touch to practicing medicine and being part of GMHA has endeared him to both patients, their families, and the staff at GMHA.

As Dr. Prins embarks on his next chapter, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. He will be deeply missed, but the mark he has left on Guam Memorial Hospital will continue to be felt for years to come, not the least being his gift of a golf cart to make entering the hospital easier for our patients and visitors.

“GMHA thanks Dr. Prins for his service, kindness, and commitment to making a difference for the people of Guam. His selfless gift of a golf cart to make accessing the hospital easier for patients and visitors with mobility challenges speaks volumes to his character and selfless nature,” said Lillian Perez-Posadas, Hospital Administrator. “Dr. Prins will always be a cherished member of the Guam Memorial Hospital family and we welcome him to return to us anytime. He will be greatly missed.”
