Two of 407 Test Positive for COVID-19; Pfizer-BioNTech Shipment Arrives;
COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule; Food Commodities Distribution Continues
 
*Joint Information Center (JIC) releases that report COVID-19 cases will only be issued Monday through Friday to reflect weekday Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Surveillance Summaries. Weekend JIC releases may be issued in the event other COVID-19-related information needs to be issued.
 
Results: Two New Cases of COVID-19
Two (2) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 407 tests performed by DPHSS on Sunday, May 23, and from tests run by other labs between Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23. One (1) case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine. One (1) case was identified through contact tracing.
 
To date, there have been a total of 8,136 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 70 cases in active isolation, and 7,927 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.4.
 
Pfizer-BioNTech Shipment Arrives
On Sunday, May 23, DPHSS received its shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines. A total of 23,400 doses were received in good condition as part of Guam’s May allocation.
 
COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. Minor’s birth certificate is acceptable. Parent/legal guardian must have a government-issued ID. Guardians must also present legal guardianship or power-of-attorney document.

Free COVID-19 Testing Schedule
COVID-19 community testing continues. No symptoms are needed to qualify for testing. Bring a photo ID. Testing for travel purposes will not be conducted at these community testing sites. Individuals seeking COVID-19 testing to travel off-island may contact the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) Northern Region Community Health Center at 635-7525/6 to schedule an appointment. For the safety of the community and nurses, only four (4) people per vehicle are allowed to be tested. Testing times, dates and locations are below:

Food Commodities Distribution Continues
The Guam Department of Education (GDOE), State Agency for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Nutrition Service distribution will be available to village constituents only on a first-come, first-served basis. A limit of three households per vehicle will be serviced at the distributions. Face masks must be worn. Bring a photo ID. Village Mayors distribution schedule is as follows:
