RE: SECOND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – APRIL 21, 2025
The Committee on Education, Libraries, and Public Broadcasting will conduct a public hearing on April 21, 2025, at 2PM in the Public Hearing Room at the Guam Congress Building, with the following agenda:
• BILL No. 43-38 (COR) – Chris Barnett - AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 12, SECTION 9, PUBLIC LAW 37-125, RELATIVE TO TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT OF RETIRED GUAM DEPARTEMENT OF EDUCATION TEACHERS
• BILL No. 48-38 (COR) – Vincent A.V. Borja – AN ACT TO ADD A NEW §4131 OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 4, TITLE 4, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED, RELATIVE TO AUTHORIZING LIMITED LEAVE BENEFITS FOR RETIRED TEACHERS REHIRED ON CONTRACT TO FILL TEACHING VACANCIES
• BILL No. 68-38 (COR) – Frank Blas Jr. – AN ACT TO AMEND SUBSECTION “Y” OF SECTION 12107 CHAPTER 12 OF TITLE 17 GUAM CODE ANNOTATED RELATIVE TO THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LIABILITIES OF AN ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL
• BILL No. 70-38 (COR) – Joe S. San Agustin – AN ACT TO ADD A NEW §3135 TO ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 3, TITLE 17, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED RELATIVE TO AUTHORIZING THE GUAM DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO LEASE PROPERTY WITHIN ITS JURISDICTION.
