Subject: Final Check Distribution for the 2025 Governor's Summer Youth Employment Program
Mangilao, July 22, 2025 – The Department of Youth Affairs is pleased to announce that the final check distribution for the 2025 Governor's Summer Youth Employment Program (GSYEP) will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at DYA’s Kattan Youth Resource Center, 228 Teresita Lane, Mangilao (see map attached), from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
GSYEP has been a tremendous success, providing valuable work experience and opportunities for Guam’s youth. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the host agencies, childcare centers and summer camps who participated in hosting participants this summer. Their guidance, encouragement, and dedication played a critical role in shaping a meaningful and enriching experience for many of our youth participants. They not only shared their knowledge and skills, but their time, patience and care– helping to inspire confidence and growth in the next generation.
DYA wishes to express our sincere appreciation to the participants themselves for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the program. We hope the experience provides valuable insights, meaningful connections, and skills that they will carry with them into the future.
