Eleven of 336 Test Positive for COVID-19; Two GDOE Employees Test Positive for COVID-19; UPDATED: COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule
Results: Eleven New Cases of COVID-19
Eleven (11) new cases of COVID-19 were identified out of 336 tests performed Thursday, June 3. Six (6) cases were identified through contact tracing. To date, there have been a total of 8,204 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 65 cases in active isolation, and 8,000 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.7.
Two GDOE Employees Test Positive for COVID-19
On Thursday, June 3, 2021, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed two separate incidents in which two individuals tested positive for COVID-19. The first positive case was identified as an employee at Marcial A. Sablan Elementary School and the second positive case was identified as an employee at M.U. Lujan Elementary School. In collaboration with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), GDOE is conducting ongoing contact tracing to identify and notify individuals who were in close contact with these individuals. These individuals will be placed in quarantine and/or isolation until they are cleared by DPHSS. Areas of both school campuses have been cleaned and disinfected. Regular hours of operation will resume.

COVID-19 vaccination clinics continue at the locations and times below. Bring a photo ID. Those due for their second dose are reminded to bring their COVID-19 immunization card. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and provide government-issued identification to validate age. Minor’s birth certificate is acceptable. Parent/legal guardian must have a government-issued ID. Guardians must also present legal guardianship or power-of-attorney document.
