The Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation Motor Vehicle Division (“MVD”) Announces Additional Automatic Extension for Certain Guam Driver’s Licenses, Guam IDs, and Guam Driver’s Permits Through March 31, 2022

Barrigada, GU – The Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation (“DRT”) announced today that it
is issuing an automatic extension letter for expired Guam Driver’s Licenses, Guam ID cards, and
Guam Driver’s Permits, which automatically extends the expiration date to March 31, 2022 for the
following:
- Guam Driver’s Licenses and Guam ID cards which expire between September 01, 2019
and March 31, 2022
- Guam Driver’s Permits which expire between March 1, 2020 and March 31, 2022
For the automatic extension, late fees will be waived on the condition that renewal is done by
March 31, 2022. Any other late fees will apply.
For any other expiration that is a year or more, a written exam MUST be taken as required by law.
On October 12, 2021, DRT announced the launch of its online Driver’s License and Guam ID
Services and issued FAQ #1 for such services. Please visit www.guamtax.com for more
information.
