DPW Working with GWA to Address Unsafe Pothole
(Tamuning, Guam March 11, 2026) The Guam Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Division is coordinating with the Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) to address warped pavement at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 10A (Airport Road near the Don Don Donki parking lot). The pavement damage was caused by a faulty pipe joint/fitting, which GWA crews are currently working to repair.
Because this intersection is a critical and heavily traveled area along Route 1, repair work will be conducted during evening hours to minimize traffic disruptions and is expected to commence at 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2026. to 5:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026.
DPW and GWA appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as crews work to complete the valve repair and restore the roadway. Additional updates will be provided as work progresses.
