DYA is looking for 15–17-year-olds interested in working in childcare organizations such as a daycare center and summer camps. Job duties for positions in this program include greeting children and parents, assist with playtime, filing documents, light cleaning duties and more. If you are interested in applying for the Childcare component of Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program’s (GSYEP), applications will be available beginning 8:00 a.m., March 17, 2026, at the following locations:

GSYEP applications will not be available online. The applications have a Control Number that will be recorded in DYA’s log sheet. Upon receiving an application, the name of the applicant must be provided and this information will be recorded. The following documents will be provided:
o 2026 GSYEP-Childcare application
o Health Certificate Clearance application
o BCCS consent for Disclosure of Client Information Form
o Police Clearance Authorization Form
o Court Clearance Authorization Form
o Health Certificate Authorization Form
DYA will accept childcare GSYEP applications from April 17–24, 2026 (weekends excluded). Applications must be submitted in person at the same resource center where they were obtained, and the name on the submitted application must match the name on DYA’s log sheet. In addition to the completed DYA forms, each application must include the following documents upon submission:
o Copy of applicant’s photo ID
o Copy of parent/legal guardian’s photo ID
o Copy of the applicant’s Social Security Card
The Childcare component of the 2026 GSYEP is scheduled to begin on June 1 and conclude on July 10.
