The Department of Revenue and Taxation (“DRT”) today announced the release of Form DRT-CELA, Cannabis Establishment License Application. Form DRT-CELA will be available online at www.guamtax.com and at DRT’s Compliance Branch. This is Step 4 of the 6 Basic Steps to Obtain a Cannabis Business License and requires clearance from other regulatory agencies outside of DRT.

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) intends to solicit assistance from the Department of Defense's Innovative Readiness Training Program. The assistance will include general medical, dental, and optometry services at no cost to the residents of Guam. The proposed assistance will take place in the villages of Dededo and Yigo between June 2023 and August 2023. Construction contractors, labor unions, or private individuals who have questions or who wish to voice opposition to military assistance for this project may contact Annette L. Aguon, Administrator of the Bureau of Communicable Disease Control, at 1-671-735-7143 or send an email to Annette.Aguon@dphss.guam.gov no later than thirty (30) days after the first publication of this notice. Persons not filing comments within the time frame noted will be considered to have waived their objection to military assistance for this project.

Guam Education Board Member Maria Gutierrez Elected NASBE Western Area Region Director At the October 26-29, 2022 National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) Conference held in Phoenix, Arizona, elections were held for the seven-member board. Four members are area directors and three members are officers. Guam and sixteen other states and U.S. territories are in the Western Area. It is a pleasure to inform the Guam Department of Education and our stakeholders, that Ms. Maria Gutierrez was elected unanimously to serve as the Western Area Region Director on the NASBE Board for a two-year term!
