Truck Enforcement and Screening Station Reopened

PRESS RELEASE

(Tamuning - September 2, 2021) The Truck Enforcement Screening Station (TESS) reopened on August 9, 2021, after being closed for over a year.

The TESS facility is located along Route 11 and includes Advance Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) scales, License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera, multiple other image capture cameras, and a static platform scale capable of accurately weighing vehicles up to 100 tons.

Individuals and companies that haul items and freight are required to bring their vehicles through the TESS facility when signaled by the WIM scale. With the TESS facility being reopened and fully operational, the allowable weight limits of vehicles on Guam’s roadways will be fully enforced to include fines or penalties. Permit applications are available for pickup and are to be submitted at the TESS facility.
