RE: FIRST NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – November 4, 2025
Håfa Adai! The Committee on Education, Libraries & Public Broadcasting will conduct an upcoming Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the Public Hearing Room in the Guam Congress Building.
The Committee will hear and accept testimony on the following:
I. Bill No. 201-38 (COR) - AN ACT TO AMEND § 3102.3 OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 3, DIVISION 2, TITLE 17, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED, RELATIVE TO EXTENDING TERMS OF OFFICE AND IMPLEMENTING STAGGERED TERMS FOR THE GUAM EDUCATION BOARD TO ENHANCE STABILITY, CONTINUITY, AND FOCUS ON STUDENT OUTCOMES.
II. Bill No. 204-38 (COR) - AN ACT TO AMEND §§ 3102.1 AND 3125 OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 3, DIVISION 2, TITLE 17, GUAM CODE ANNOTATED, RELATIVE TO REQUIRING GUAM EDUCATION BOARD CONFIRMATION OF DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT APPOINTMENTS TO ENHANCE OVERSIGHT, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND FOCUS ON STUDENT OUTCOMES.
How to Participate: Written testimony may be delivered to the Office of Senator Vincent A. V. Borja, DNA Building, Suite 502, 238 Archbishop Flores Street, Hagåtña, Guam 96910, or via email to contact@senatorvinceborja.com. The Committee requests that testimonies be submitted at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled hearing.
