Panda Cares Donates New Cribs and an Incubator to GMHA (

PRESS RELEASE

The Panda Cares Foundation, the charitable branch of the Panda Express restaurants, awarded the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) a grant for high-priority equipment valued at $76,090.00. Specifically, the Panda Cares Foundation purchased an electric Critical Care Crib II, an electric Springfield Procedural Crib, and a Springfield Crib (Manual Hi/Lo). The three cribs have been delivered to GMHA’s neonatal and pediatric wards. A GE Giraffe Incubator Carestation, valued at $48,306, will arrive in January 2024.

GMHA Update: Chilled Water Supply Line

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) is issuing an update following an incident earlier today involving a chilled water supply line for the GMHA Emergency Department. On Tuesday morning, the supply line malfunctioned, leading to flooding in the first-floor elevator lobby. The prompt response of GMHA staff allowed for the swift containment of the break, followed by a thorough cleaning of the affected area.

Broken Pipe at GMHA Contained

PRESS RELEASE

Earlier today, a chilled water supply line for the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority’s (GMHA) Emergency Department broke, causing flooding in the first floor elevator lobby. The break has since been contained and clean up is in progress. As a result, visitation has been temporarily restricted to a case by case basis.

Dr. Vincent Duenas Retires After 45 Years of Service

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) proudly recognizes Dr. Vincent Duenas, an outstanding son of Guam, and thanks him for 45 years of service to our people as an Internal Medicine Doctor and Acting Administrator of Medical Services at GMHA. Dr. Duenas will be retiring at the end of March 2024 after a long career caring for both adult inpatient and outpatients in Guam and the US.

GMHA: Update on the Availability of Butorphanol

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) is still without access to Butorphanol, a narcotic pain medication often used during labor to alleviate pain. Formerly known as Stadol, the medication is also used as a part of the anesthesia for surgery and cardiac procedures. GMHA has a supply of 2nd-line medications to use while it awaits back-ordered shipments of Butorphanol to arrive.
