GMHA Celebrates Donation of a GE Giraffe Incubator by Panda Cares

PRESS RELEASE

The Panda Cares Foundation made a special visit to the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) on Thursday, September 4, 2024 to celebrate their grant of $124,396.00 to the hospital for critically needed cribs and an incubator for our youngest patients. GMHA used a portion of the grant to purchase three specialty cribs for the Pediatric Unit and most recently, the hospital received a GE Giraffe Incubator Carestation, valued at $48,306.00. The new state-of-the-art incubator is currently in use in GMHA’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

U.S. News & World Report Names GMHA a High Performing Hospital

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority has been ranked as a High Performing Hospital by the U.S. News & World Report. Every year, the U.S. News & World Report evaluates 4,500 hospitals. Of the hospitals assessed, only 38% earned a High Performing rating in a single category. GMHA earned five.

GMHA’s Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Receives Achievement in Quality Award

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) is proud to share that our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) has been presented with the Achievement in Quality Award by the Quality Improvement Organizations (QIO), a program of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The award recognizes the SNF’s achievements in promoting quality health care by decreasing adverse drug events, preventing infections, decreasing readmissions, and promoting resident and staff vaccination.

GMHA Recognized with American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Award 2024

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability.

GMHA Completes Power Upgrade, AC Units Operational in the OB Ward

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority (GMHA) is pleased to share the project to upgrade the power system in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Obstetrics Ward (OB) has been completed. The power upgrade is supplying enough power to run the new split air conditioning units, which are operating without issue.
