TAX REFUNDS

PRESS RELEASE

HAGATNA, GUAM - The Department of Revenue & Taxation has processed and the Department of Administration will mail checks for 95 tax year 2020 and prior income tax refunds this week. Total income tax refunds paid is approximately $ 690,696 including refunds garnished to repay government debts. These represent payment of 95 error free returns filed on or before January 22, 2022. To check the status of your income tax refund please log into your individual account at https://www.myguamtax.com/ and use the ‘Lookup Status of 1040 Refund’ tool. DRT can be reached at 635-1840/1841 or 635-7651. Please take note, that due to high call volumes, DRT recommends to utilize the ‘Lookup Status’ tool or contact us via the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website or to e-mail us at incometax@revtax.guam.gov.

2022 TAX FILING SEASON OPENS JANUARY 24, 2022 AND E-FILING OF CERTAIN FORMS 1040 NOW AVAILABLE AT www.myguamtax.com

PRESS RELEASE

The Guam Department of Revenue & Taxation (DRT) announced that the 2022 income tax filing season began on Monday, January 24, 2022. This is the date that DRT began accepting 2021 tax year returns and is in line with the date that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) also began the nation’s tax season. The due date for filing of returns is Monday, April 18, 2022.

The Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation (“DRT”) announced that on January 20, 2022, the agency processed an additional 139 payments for the All RISE Program totaling $140 thousand. The amount comprised 88 paper checks and 51 electronic funds transfers.
